Preserving one of the Valley’s oldest and most
magnificent ranches, the 17-acre Sahuaro Ranch Park
Historic Area features 13 original buildings, a rose garden, barnyard and historic orchards.
Listed on the National Register of Historical Places and known as the “Showplace of the Valley,” the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area offers activities, exhibits and guided tours—keeping the history of early settlement in the Valley alive. Click here to read about Sahuaro Ranch Park's history.

Tours Main House Tour
Built between 1891 and 1898 this was the home of the ranch manager and the last family to own the ranch. Tours beginning September 1, Wednesday through Saturdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., and Sundays, 1–4 p.m. (Groups of 10+ please call 623-930-4201 for reservations).
Adobe House and Guest House Tour
The Adobe House was the first permanent dwelling built on the ranch. It was constructed in 1887 and served as the home and office of Sahuaro Ranch’s first superintendent. The Guest House was built in 1898 and was intended as an “addition” to the main house. Tour presented by the Glendale Historical Society. 1–4 p.m., Sundays beginning October 3.
Ranch Site Tour
Explore the enitre history of the ranch through the buildings, barnyard, historic trees and groves at 11 a.m. on September 10 and 11, October 8 and 9, November 12 and 13 and December 10 and 11. Wear comfortable shoes and meet on the Main House front porch.

Facility rental opportunities are available at the Sahuaro Ranch Historic Area—featuring various venues of the Historic Area or the entire 17-acre complex. Our Partners Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association
Participates in tours and events held at Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area. This state- wide organization provides narrated educational units for school tours and individual events held throughout the year. The blacksmithing demonstration is a unique experience, it truly is an Art.

Participates in two City of Glendale special events and hosts two additional events each year at Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area. This organization brings unique, “live animal” and Arizona ranching experiences to each event.

Provides event support for hay rides at large events held at Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area. This organization plans and coordinates an Antique Tractor & Engine Show on the 2nd weekend of February. In addition, provides knowledge and planting/harvesting logistics for farming crops in the Demonstration Field as well as an agricultural education day demonstrating historic farming techniques to grade school students.
