WHO: Officers from the Glendale Police Department and the West Valley DUI Task Force will work together to make Glendale streets a little safer this weekend.
WHAT: A DUI checkpoint will be in full force to make sure that drivers on the road are not impaired.
WHERE: 7200 W. Bell Road. The command post and processing center will be on the north side in the medical plaza.
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 20th, 10:30 pm until 3:00 am.
WHY: The Glendale Police Department is committed to the enforcement of laws regarding driving while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. DUI is a serious matter that often results in collisions involving serious injury and death. DUI checkpoints have proven to be an effective method for the prevention of impaired driving as well as the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers.
