On August 8, 1987 at 4:11 a.m. several young people decided to drive through Resthaven Cemetery at 63rd Ave and Northern Ave. While driving through the cemetery the young people came upon the body of a male subject the obvious victim of a homicide. The subject was later identified as Orison Chafin, a resident of Glendale. Orison was last seen the day prior when he was drinking with friends at a bar near 59th Ave and Glendale Ave. Orison left the bar with a male subject and was never seen alive again. As of this time there are no known suspects or a motive for the death of Orison Chafin.
