Teen Energy

Bring a friend and take a step towards better nutrition and fitness in this series of programs offered by the Glendale Libraries in an initiative sponsored by Libraries for the Future and MetLife Foundation. Have a little fun; try a new taste; learn a few tips about healthy lifestyles for teens.

Teens who attend will receive a free pass to the GCC fitness Center, and those who attend with a parent are eligible for the pedometer prize drawings.

Presented by David Mann, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry in the College of Health Sciences, Midwestern University. The key to a healthy vegetarian diet, as with any other diet, is to eat a wide variety of foods. How do you start? How do you add variety and balance to your vegetarian diet? Her overall goal with eating and weight problems is to help teens have happier and healthier futures where weight becomes exactly what it should be - simply a number on the scale.
