"Innovative Program Award"
The Glendale Fire Department's Crisis Response Team won the "Innovative Program Award" from the National Association of Volunteer Programs in Local Government (NAVPLG). The award honors the outstanding achievement of local government programs for the creation and implementation of quality programs and service that utilizes volunteers to creatively serve both their local government and community. The award was presented in San Francisco at the National Conference on Volunteering & Service in June 2009. Congratulations Glendale Fire Department Crisis Response Team! |

Crisis Response Team receives ‘Distinguished Service Award'
The more than 60 volunteers of the Glendale Fire Department Crisis Response Team who help community members to deal with emotions resulting from traumatic events were honored recently by Glendale Community College (GCC) with the Distinguished Service Award for Excellence. The award was given during the third annual recognition dinner and gala, which benefits scholarships and programs at both West Valley community colleges. |
