Introducing the Glendale Homebuyers Assistance Program: The city is using $278,326 in federal dollars provided through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to fund the “Glendale Homebuyers Assistance Program.” The NSP is a federally funded, one-time allocation provided through HUD. All funds received from the federal government for Glendale’s NSP program address the redevelopment of abandoned/foreclosed homes and properties. This helps to stabilize and revitalize those neighborhoods in which the properties are located. The Homebuyers Assistance Program is designed to provide Glendale residents with the opportunity to acquire and rehabilitate (if necessary) abandoned/foreclosed homes.
