Watch Out for Those Weeds!
Recent rains have left many residential and commercial property owners with the challenge and chore of getting rid of weeds and overgrown grass. Not only do overgrown weeds and grass pose a fire risk, they can be code violations and cause blight in our neighborhoods. The Glendale Code Compliance Department is encouraging residents to take steps now to control weeds and grass before they become a problem. Read more (pdf)

Signing Off with the Help of Volunteers
Signs, signs. Everywhere there are signs! But thanks to city code compliance volunteers, there is extra help to remove illegal signs in Glendale. Whether it is a ‘yard sale’ sign or a ‘for hire’ sign, these type of signs found in the right-of-way are not allowed. Last year, volunteers removed more than 5,400 signs, which are known to create visual blight. Read more |
