About Us

The Glendale Community Action Program (CAP) helps citizens become self-sufficient while they are experiencing a financial hardship or crisis in their lives.

Our Mission

To provide responsible and efficient support services that foster self-sufficiency and emotional stability when individuals or families are experiencing a financial hardship or major life crises.

Community Action Program provides various types of assistance to prevent homelessness, such as case management, information and referral to local social service agencies.  CAP provides direct financial assistance for those households that are eligible such as:

  • Utility payment
  • Utility deposit
  • Mortgage payment to prevent eviction or foreclosure
  • Rent payment to prevent eviction
  • First month's rent payment for those who are homeless
  • Rental deposit payment for those who are homeless

Please call 623-930-2460 for appointment information on utility, rent and mortgage assistance only.  Appointments are limited and based on funding availability to CAP.

Basic Requirements:

This program is funded by DES Division of Aging and Adult Services, Based on funding availability.
